This is just a quick update to say that the wife and I are going to see MuteMath in concert tonight. Back in Tallahassee we got to see this band twice, and they put on one of the best live shows I’ve ever seen. I’ve only listened to their new album a few times, and I’m not really sure what the venue will be like–so I’ll be sure to update in the next day or so with more information on how things shake down.

UPDATE: So I seem to have let more than “a day or so” go by since posting this. Hehe. At any rate, the MuteMath concert was good, Cori and I had a lot of fun. We both took the smart way (or wimpy way) and wore earplugs during the show, since we were only a few feet away from the stage. Actually, for anyone who’s never tried earplugs at a small concert, they make it easier to hear the music without all the extreme bass and reverb you usually get at live shows.
As with most MuteMath shows, there was plenty of hi-jinks from the band members–including the drummer taking one of his toms into the crowd and doing, getting folks to hold it above their heads, and then him literally standing on the crowd. Very entertaining, to say the least.
I definitely recommend MuteMath to anyone, and you should check out their live show anytime you get the chance (even if you have to wear earplugs to do it).
