Bionic Commando and Fable 2 Pub Games

It’s 11:50 on a Tuesday night; do you know where your children are? Well, that’s really more of a rhetorical question, but it provides a nice lead-in for my topic. See, I’m staying up “late” to download the Xbox Live Arcade game for Fable 2. For the uninitiated, Xbox Live Arcade is an online game store where you can download demo and full games that are much smaller (in file size, not in fun) than typical CD-rom games. Trust me, it’s good stuff. Every Wednesday they release new arcade games, and this Wednesday is the day they release Bionic Commando Rearmed, an updated version of the NES classic, and Fable 2 Pub Games, a set of mini-games that allow you to earn in-game currency for the upcoming RPG Fable 2.

Whew, I hope that someone, somewhere benefitted from that brief explanation. I could have gone into much greater detail, going all the way back to the ENIAC. <Insert sheepish reference to reveal the depth of my boredom/geekdom.>  Haha. Anyway, I’m waiting up for the midnight rollover to download these XBLA (Xbox Live Arcade) games because I’m getting the Pub Games for free (sorta) and because, come on, it’s Bionic Commando! More on this one later, I just realized it’s 12:03.
